What are Verve Greens?
From the same founder as Myprotein, Verve is a brand that produces an 80-ingredient greens blend. They state on their website that they are ‘100% transparent’ about the ingredients and amounts used and place a focus on ensuring quality of those ingredients.
The brand claims their powder is a ‘convenient way to supercharge your well-being, keep your energy up, immune system strong and gut health balanced’.
The brand also discusses sustainability, mentioning utilising 100% recyclable packaging, an ‘A+ sustainability rated warehouse’, carbon neutral delivery and long-lasting bottles/tins to be reused by the customer.
Aside from this, Verve also utilises Informed Sport – a global third-party testing and certification program. This means that each batch of Verve V80 has been tested to ensure there are no substances banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), something that could be vitally important for those taking part in particular sporting events.
Why Am I Trying Verve V80 Greens?
In recent months, I’ve found myself on a personal journey to change up how I approach looking after my health and wellbeing. For me, that has looked like reviewing supplements I was previously using and switching things up to try new ones. I’ve also been on a mission to try out sports I never got the opportunity to try years ago or return to those I tried once, loved but never had the chance to continue for a second session. I’m also very conscious that, as my twenties rapidly pass me by, I have to start taking my health and fitness far more seriously if I want to keep up the pace of how I live my life into my thirties and beyond.
Several weeks ago, I received an email offering me the chance to try out Verve V80 greens. Having only seen a YouTube video a couple of days prior, where the individual was discussing how every greens blend can be a very different experience in terms of taste, texture and potential results, I was interested to see how I felt about it. I also used to be a Myprotein customer when I first started my fitness journey so I felt like I was in good hands.

On receiving the package, I was honestly very surprised by the way it was presented. Despite the packaging being completely recyclable cardboard, unboxing it was still a pleasant, premium-feeling experience. The bottle that came in the set is glass with a sturdy lid. The lid also includes a loop that can be pushed back inside the top of itself when not in use. The Verve V80 set also includes a tin which, in my opinion, is really useful to prevent you from having to reach your hand into a powdery bag each day. It also looks really nice to leave out on the countertop and reminds me of a coffee jar.

The pouch of greens itself, as promised, has all of the ingredients listed clearly on the back (along with the amounts). The zip seal at the top is also the kind that easily seals, meaning I’d feel confident travelling with it if I needed to.

Pros of Verve V80
- Taste – I was surprised to experience that Verve V80 very much reminds me of green tea, which I love. Besides this, it has a subtle fruit flavour alongside a mild earthiness.
- Premium product – I really like how the brand is so focused on using quality ingredients (as discussed on their website), plus the fact they consciously think of athletes who need to be aware of regulations in competition. On a simpler level though, I love the quality of the tin and bottle and feel that it is definitely built to last.
- Transparency of ingredients – while many other brands out there do list ingredients on their packaging in a clear way, I love that Verve highlights this for those who need to know exactly what is going into their product ahead of purchase. They also provide a small piece of information on their website to explain what each nutrient does so you know exactly why it is on the list.
- Benefits – at the time of writing this review, I have been using Verve V80 everyday for 3 weeks. While I am not making any health claims here, I have personally noticed that I feel more focused and have fewer energy/concentration dips throughout the day while working. My stomach/digestion has also felt more settled with less of a tendency towards bloating.
- Mixability – Despite this being a small and simple thing, I love that the product mixes easily. Even when my bottle is in the wash, it still mixes well in a glass while stirring with a metal straw – it comes out perfectly every time.
Cons of Verve V80
Price – the only con is that this is a fairly high-priced product for me personally. At £75 for a one-month supply, I tend not to spend as much as this on any health supplements. However, Verve offers a subscription which offers the product at a discounted and competitive rate vs many other leading brands out there. Subscriptions can also be cancelled at any time for full flexibility.
I can very much see why particular groups might choose a product like this. For example, athletes might consider this a solid choice due to the Informed Sport testing conducted while those with particular dietary needs might appreciate the clarity and transparency of ingredients to ensure it fits their needs.

Final Thoughts
Given the quality of the product and thought that has gone into it, I would recommend Verve to anyone looking to try out a greens blend. I also really like the taste of it which makes it easy to fit into my daily schedule. Aesthetically, the product is nice to have around too with the tin fitting in nicely on my kitchen countertop.
